Hey Reddittors, I am travelling to Hungary and considering to but Go NiYO forex card. Looks like the best option, no fee, no forex commission, markup fee etc. Are these claims fine? Are there any hidden charges? How was your opinion using this card? Thanks a lot!
Index funds domiciled in Ireland for a buy-and-hold investor based in Europe, should you buy in EUR or base currency?
For example, if you want to buy S&P 500 ETF from Vanguard or iShares, you can buy it in EUR or in USD. Does it ever make sense for a buy-and-hold investor who lives in Europe and is paid in EUR and who doesn't plan to retire in a different country, to buy the shares in USD? Since we can't predict if EUR will be stronger or weaker by the time we want to retire and because you'd have to pay the Forex commission every time you buy new shares, the answer is probably to keep it simple and buy in EUR, right? Or is there a reason why buying in base currency of the fund is preferable? Any advice you could share would be much appreciated. Thank you. EDIT: Thanks for the advice guys. I'll keep buying in EUR on Euronext.
I need ~0.5 BTC within the next 6hrs in the UK. I'm tired of waiting for verifications.
Is there any way I can do this without going to meet someone in person? I've applied at 2 places and I'm still waiting for verifications (random debit card deposit and an ID check). I have credit card, debit card, paym, paypal, iTunes, Google Play, etc., There must be some way I can get this small amount of bitcoin without having to jump through hoops... I'm happy to pay forex commission, charges, whatever - speed is the key Update: Thanks bittylicious! They will let you buy ~0.39 BTC via paym as long as you upload proof of ID & address (but they will accept purchase before the check is finalised) :) :)
